The beliefs that unite people at Inverness Vineyard are firmly rooted in the Scriptures, Gospel-Centered and are intended to focus us toward living a Jesus oriented life. As a Vineyard church we affirm historical, biblical, orthodox Christian beliefs that we hold in common with all Christians with a distinctive of faithfully yet relevantly and sensitively expressing our faith to each generation.

Our Statement of Faith is the guide to what we believe, our 12 distinctives are the way we tend to live out what we believe.
They are:
- Main and the plain: the Bible as our standard for understanding all things to life and godliness.
- The Now and the Not Yet: we are a kingdom people. This is a lifestyle which should be demonstrated wherever we go. The Kingdom of God is our central theological understanding. It's an explanation and an experience. The kingdom is absolute reality.
- Come, Holy Spirit: we are committed to experience God.
- Worshippers of God: we are a family with a purpose. We love worship. We long to be worshippers of God.
- Rescuers of men and women.
- Everyone gets to play: you can be a believer for 5 minutes and be used by God as if you were a believer for 50 years...who are the ministers in this church? WE ARE
- Come as you are, but don't stay as you are.
- Naturally supernatural: when God comes He comes and does what He wants to do. We do not have to initiate this response ourselves.
- Equipping the saints.
- Plant churches that will plant churches.
- Your brother is never your enemy.
- Lord, keep me on a short leash: Lord, keep us from believing our own press.
