AUGUST - IVC'S MONTH OF PRAYER
Pastor Miguel is encouraging members and attenders of IVC to take the month of August to focus on specific prayer points. He is asking each person to take at least 10 minutes each day to pray for these focuses. The prayer points for Week 1 are listed below. You will also see a prayer card for your convenience each week in the church bulletin. b. Vision: Loving God, Sharing God's Love, Introducing People to Jesus - How can we live this out as a church?
c. Finances: God would increase people's capacity towards generosity.

SUNDAY MORNING MESSAGE SERIES - "THE STORY OF GOD"
We are currently in a Sundays morning series entitled "The Story of God". It's an exciting time that we hope you will invite your friends and family to. If you missed any of the previous weeks or series, you can look under the Gather tab to watch past Sunday sermons.
"ONE WORSHIP" SCHEDULE STILL IN EFFECT
We have been enjoying having us ALL in the Main Auditorium together for worship. At this time, we plan to continue with this. We have a babies and walkers class (birth thru 2 yrs. old) available for the entire service in the downstairs of the Office building. Our children and Jr. High students are released to their classes after the announcements and offering. We are also ALL checking into the Main Auditorium as we come in. This allows allow our children to get the name tags they need and parents will get the ID tag to pick them up.
OUR MONTHLY IVC PICNIC - AUGUST 26
We are having a blast conducting monthly picnics where we eat and fellowship together. The next one will be after service on August 26th. This one will involve a fundraiser for our mission efforts in Nicaragua. Donations will be accepted along with taking orders for Boston Butts that can be picked up that day. Everyone attending is asked to bring a side. If your last name begins with A-L, bring a drink; M-Z bring a dessert. Please go ahead and put this on your calendar.
SINGLE & PARENTING AND DIVORCECARE FOR KIDS (DC4K) BEGINS AUG. 28
We are offering a class for single parents beginning on Tuesday nights, August 28th at 6:00 p.m. This involves a video teaching, small group discussion and personal application. There is also a DC4K class for children ages 5-12 that provides a safe and neutral environment for them to deal with separation and divorce. For more info or to sign up, please go to ivcinfo.net. There will also be a couple of other classes offered beginning on Sept. 11th. They will be Starting Over (Andy Stanley) and Boundaries In Dating (Henry Cloud/John Townsend).
FAMILY LIFE ON WEDNESDAYS BEGINS SEPT. 5 @ 6:30 PM
We will be offering something for everyone on Wednesday nights beginning Sept. 5th from 6:30 - 8:00. We will begin with a short time of worship together in the Student Center and then split up into activities for children, youth and adults. We hope you will mark your calendars and plan to attend our mid-week festivities!
"4 MEN ONLY" MEN'S CONFERENCE - SEPT. 7 & 8
This is a time for men to come and be strengthened, encouraged and challenged. It will take place Friday night, Sept. 7 from 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. The topic is: Love - Life - Liberty. Please register here.

We offer an opportunity every quarter for new attenders to learn more about IVC, our vision and mission in the community, and to get to know our pastor better. Please watch our Welcome to IVC video at this link and register for the next meeting on Sept. 9th after service in the Student Center. We'd love to have you there!
BACKPACK BUDDY 5K & 1 MILE FUN RUN - SEPT. 15
This is an annual fundraiser for Vineyard Family Services and their Backpack Buddy program that helps supply food to hundreds of needy students each weekend during the school year. This event will take place on Saturday morning, Sept. 15 at Veteran's Park in Alabaster. There will be a 5K, a 1 Mile Fun Run and a "Snooze For Food" (Sleeping In). You can enter any of these events and sign up under the Inverness Vineyard Church group at this link. Prices to enter go up after Aug. 24th. Donations are also accepted and sponsors are welcomed. THERE'S A HOME GROUP YOU WOULD ENJOY!
We have several home groups meeting around our community. They have food, fellowship, discipleship, prayer and outreach. We also have CARE groups that offer several opportunities to get specialized ministry. And our AFFINITY groups focus on a specific theme or demographic.
