FAMILY LIFE ON WEDNESDAYS @ 6:30 PM
We are offering something for everyone on Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 8:00. We begin with a short time of worship together in the Student Center and then split up into activities for children, youth and adults. Our youth are meeting downstairs in the Student Center and studying Francis Chan's "Doctrine" series. The adult class in the Offices building is Louie Giglio's "The Comeback". And our children are having fun engaging in worship, playing fun games and hearing The Story of God. We hope you will mark your calendars and plan to attend our mid-week festivities!
FALL BLESSING SWAP - OCT. 13 FROM 9 AM - 12 NOON
The Blessing Swap is just that, a swap. No money, just bring wearable clothing (fall/winter), shoes, accessories, usable household items that you don't want/need and take items you do need or want. Bring a snack to share if you like. No childcare will be provided, but well supervised children are welcome. Bring a basket or box to carry your finds home in! Leftovers are donated to Bill's Closet, a clothing ministry for those in need. The swap starts at 9 AM on that Saturday in the Student Center but if you want to get there at 8 and help set up, your help would be welcome. Tell your friends!
"BOUNDARIES IN DATING" - TUESDAYS @ 6 PM
"Boundaries In Dating" is a 9 week class by Henry Cloud and John Townsend. This class began on Oct. 9th and will continue on Tuesday nights at 6:00 p.m. There is also a class going for single parents that involves a video teaching, small group discussion and personal application. And Divorce Care for Kids (DC4K) for children ages 5-12 is also being provided. It provides a safe and neutral environment for them to deal with separation and divorce.
COAT OUTREACH - YOUTH PROJECT
We are beginning to collect gently used or new coats of all sizes for an outreach to the homeless led by our youth and the Crims. We need all coats delivered to the church by Sunday, Nov. 4th.
SPECIAL SERVICES WITH BYRON EASTERLING - NOV. 4
Pastor Miguel is very excited to have one of the people who has influenced his spiritual life come minister here at IVC on Sunday, Nov. 4th at the 10:30 AM Sunday morning service and at 6:00 PM. Byron and Crystal Easterling are founders of Build His House (BHH), a non-profit focused on creating excellent housing for widows and single mothers. The Easterling’s serve on the boards of, and advise several international ministries including the anti-trafficking of women and children with Iris Cambodia and Hope Refuge. Byron and Crystal have extensions of their work in many nations including Nicaragua. It is there that they helped to establish a farm program based from a prophecy he received in 2000 to help families break out of poverty and have a life sustaining income on a farm that they own. In 2008, Byron authored "Dream Big Dream Often" and has since written well over 200 blogs based upon his spiritual journey. A new journal series, "Love Notes from Dad", is available on Amazon. He is known for his story telling which combines a warmth and joy along with spiritual authenticity. They also have an online prophetic community called Prophetic Weekly. Please make plans now to be here for these special services.
