Mittie McCarty | College & ACTS Director
Mittie is a graduate of Christ For The Nations Institute in 
Dallas, Texas where she majored in theology. She served as a missionary through the Vineyard for 7 years in Kent, England working with over 15,000 young people each year on school campuses throughout the UK. Over the past 3 years, she has worked with college leaders at four major Universities in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa to disciple, train, and equip them in reaching out to their own campus communities. With the help of these leaders, we have developed a 1-3 year internship program called ACTS: Advancing Campus Outreach through Students. One of the movements that has begun to spring up is Rain, a Worship Movement @ Samford University, where 50-60 Students meet weekly to encourage one another, pray for revival, and worship God. It’s so exciting to see young leaders beginning to reach their full potential in Christ! We also have had the privilege of partnering with over 300 International Students at UAB, one of most diverse schools in the nation. We as the Vineyard desire to raise up missionaries in our local cities and eventually send them to the world!

Rain is a Worship Movement dedicated to worship, revival, and revealing the Father’s heart to a lost and broken generation. We are a non-denominational Campus ministry at Samford University that meets for Bible study @ 8pm (Burns 202) and for Prayer and Worship in Reid Chapel at 9pm! If you are desperate for more of God and want to encounter him in a new way, you should come check us out! ALL College students are welcome, you don’t just have to go to Samford!
