Note from Sandra Martin on Suzanne’s talk
Yes, I did. I was energized during their worship this morning indeed. Suzanne did awesome. The rash is better. Everything was much better after her talk. She felt better, she wasn’t dizzy anymore, she was rested, she was focused and so on. We talked to a lot of people, prayed with many. Took lots of pictures of children and moms with their little ones.A little girl fell in love with Ward and followed him around, sat in his lap and played with him. Nate got to play drums tonight. We are very whooped after this looooooong conference day and tomorrow comes the second round.
We are soooo thankful to be able to come “home” to the Brown’s each night. What a blessing. We love the food. We love the children. I got to talk to the Maingi children (Evan’s children; Sarah, Francis and Simon). The boys have changed a lot. They remembered Ward and Suzanne very well and reconnected with them. they remember Nate, too, bu they don’t remember me. However, we will be going with them to their church. I hope to be able to relate to them better. They have a very macho front, talking about “chicks” the whole time. I am annoyed by that actually.
We connected with a children’s pastor from Busia who came all the way to meet with us and be able to share what they are doing in Kenya among children, how they raise them and train to be followers of Jesus. This was definitely a God appointment. He was the point of the exclamation mark Suzanne made in her talk.
Tomorrow is again workshop time and we will be leading a workshop with the children as an example what you can do to demonstrate God using children to the adults, parents, children’s workers etc.
Pray we find a time to connect with our children back home. Timewise it is pretty tricky. We would like to stay up tonight and skype with them.
We miss them some.
