Part of the vision we feel that God has given us is to take what God's done through us (and what He will do through us in the future) and help other congregations build similar ministries.  Each one's ministry will be unique as it will be designed to fit their culture and the needs of their community.  God has a plan & we just want to follow His leading.

What is our part of all this?  Well, we're actively seeking out other congregations with a heart for orphans.  As God leads us to those churches or them to us, our core group meets with the people who are passionate and in whom God is developing a vision.  We help these people begin to brainstorm to find the core people who can run with the ball.  Once the core group is established, we work with them to develop a plan for what the ministry can entail, we also help them successfully launch the ministry in their congregation. 

We see three parts to the launch after the core group is established. 

• Awareness: There is a great need that is not being met.  The congregation needs to be made aware of the need that exists.
• Passion: Helping people begin to develop a vision for how they can help meet the need and the passion to do so..
• Action: Helping individuals find their niche in whatever part of the ministry God is calling them to and helping them be active in being part of the solution to the problem.

We feel strongly that this is best a lay-person led ministry with only the support of the church leadership needed.  Church staff already have enough on their plates to take on a whole new ministry.

We've had several opportunities to speak publicly about what we've done.  We had a speaking engagement with Tony Petelos, Hoover's Mayor when he was delivering a proclamation for Adoption Awareness Day, we spoke at the Birmingham Heart Gallery and to a group of  Baptist ministers.  We love getting the word out, so if your church or civic group would like to have us come and talk about what God is doing for orphans, please let us know!
